This article answers common questions about Seamless AI Connect, including setup, email sending, campaigns, calling, activity tracking, CRM integrations, and administration. It’s designed to help users quickly understand Connect, troubleshoot common questions, and feel confident using it in their day-to-day workflow.
General Overview & Access
What is Seamless.AI Connect?
Seamless.AI Connect is an all-in-one sales engagement solution that enables you to find, engage, and follow up with leads across email, phone, social and custom tasks within a single workflow.
Who is Seamless.AI Connect designed for?
It is designed for sales representatives, account executives, sales managers and small business owners—particularly in Small to Medium Businesses (SMBs)—who want to simplify their tech stack by combining lead discovery, outreach, and task management.
Is Seamless.AI Connect free?
Yes. Connect is included free with your Seamless.AI account. The free tier includes features such as high email volume, multiple inbox connections, unlimited campaigns, and calling via Twilio integration. (Twilio subscription required)
Do I need to install anything to use Connect?
No. Seamless.AI Connect is 100% web-based and accessible through your browser.
Can I use Connect on a mobile device?
Mobile is not officially supported at this time.
What browsers are supported?
Google Chrome is the recommended browser, especially for using the Chrome Extension.
What is the Profile Flyout?
The Profile Flyout is a side panel that shows key contact and company details, emails and phone numbers, along with engagement history and tasks
What is the Dynamic Layout?
A customizable table view for Search, Contacts, Companies and other tables within the platform.
How many rows can I view at once?
25 or 50 rows per page.
Email Setup, Sending & Deliverability
How do I connect my email account?
Navigate to Settings using clicking your profile initials in the bottom left > Emails and click '+ Connect Email.' You will be prompted to sign in to your Gmail or Outlook account and agree to terms of service.
Which email providers are currently supported?
Currently, Seamless.AI Connect supports Gmail and Outlook.
Can I connect multiple email accounts?
Yes. Organizations can connect multiple email accounts. There is no limit at this time.
What is the Daily Send Limit per inbox?
Users can configure a daily send limit per inbox. By default no limit is set. The recommended best practice is 250 or fewer emails per day, per inbox.
What is the recommended Email Delay?
It is recommended to set an email delay of at least 60 seconds between sends to reduce spam risk.
What is the Domain Exclusion List?
Admins can block specific email domains from being connected to the platform.
What is the Domain Send Limit?
This caps the total number of emails sent across your domain per day to protect sender reputation.
What is the Domain Blacklist?
This prevents emails being sent from you or your team to specific recipient domains, such as competitors.
How do I create a custom email footer?
Navigate to Settings using clicking your profile initials in the bottom left > Emails > Footers and create a footer that includes your company name, business address, and unsubscribe option for compliance with CAN-SPAM.
What happens if I don’t have a footer?
We recommend creating and using a footer for all automatic campaign emails. Footer should include your company name, business address, and an unsubscribe option. It is your responsibility to be compliant with any laws and regulations in your area of business.
Can I test the unsubscribe link on myself?
No. Users cannot unsubscribe themselves. Send a test email to a colleague instead.
What happens when a contact unsubscribes via the unsubscribe link in an email?
The contact is marked Do Not Email and future emails to that email address are automatically blocked. An activity record is generated for the unsubscribe event which can be found on the activity page. The Contact’s engagement status will be updated to “Unsubscribed” as well. There are campaign settings which allow you to control behavior inside campaigns.
Does Seamless.AI track email opens and clicks?
Yes. Open and click tracking can be enabled in email settings.
What happens if I try to email a contact with a low AI score?
This depends on your Total AI settings for emails. If a Total AI Score threshold is set, the system will block or warn you before sending. If no Total AI threshold is set, the system will still send the email, but contacts with lower AI scores may experience slightly higher failure rates.
What’s the difference between disabling an email and disconnecting an email?
Disabling an email temporarily prevents it from being used to send emails in Connect while keeping it connected to Gmail or Outlook. Disconnecting an email fully removes the connection and requires re-authentication before it can be used again.
What happens when I disable an email?
The inbox remains connected, but Connect will not send emails from it until it is re-enabled. No reconnection is required to resume sending.
What happens when I disconnect an email?
The inbox is fully disconnected from Gmail or Outlook. Emails cannot be sent or tracked until the inbox is reconnected and re-authenticated.
When should I disable an email instead of disconnecting it?
Disable an email when you want to temporarily pause sending while keeping the inbox connected for easy reactivation.
When should I disconnect an email instead of disabling it?
Disconnect an email when you want to fully remove access (e.g., the inbox is no longer in use, credentials changed, or you need to re-authenticate).
Can I add images/files/pdfs to emails/footers/signatures?
No at this time. Adding files to emails/footers/signatures is not available, but is on our team’s roadmap.
Campaigns, Templates & Automation
What is a Campaign in Seamless.AI Connect?
A Campaign is a multi-step outreach sequence that can include automated emails, calls, social media messages, and other custom tasks.
How do I create a new Campaign?
Navigate to the Campaigns tab and click “+ Create Campaign.” You’ll then be prompted to name your campaign, add contacts, select the email address you want to send from, and set the business hours for when emails and tasks can be delivered.
What types of steps can be added to a Campaign?
You can add automated emails, manual emails, calls, SMS, LinkedIn steps, and custom tasks.
Can I automate multi-step workflows?
Yes but the only automated step is sending emails automatically. Other actions, such as calls or manual tasks, will still require some interaction.
Is there a limit to how many steps a campaign can have?
No. There is no limit on the number of campaign steps within a campaign.
Can I pause a Campaign or Campaign step?
Yes. You can pause entire campaigns or individual steps.
What are Dynamic Variables?
Dynamic Variables automatically fill in contact details for you, so each email feels personalized without you manually typing the information.
What 'About Me' variables are available?
Variables such as your name, job title, company, and LinkedIn profile can be used.
How do I create Email or Call Templates?
Navigate to the Templates dashboard and create templates using text and variables.
Can I preview templates before sending?
Yes. Templates include a preview mode that shows how the content will populate for a contact. You can also use the “Email myself a preview” button to send yourself an example and see exactly how it will look in an email.
Can I share campaigns with my team?
Not yet. Campaign sharing is not currently available, but this feature is coming soon.
Can I add images/files/pdfs to campaigns?
No at this time. Adding files to campaigns is not available, but is on the product roadmap.
Calling Features
Do I need a Twilio account to use calling?
Yes, currently, Twilio is the only way to make calls directly within Connect. However, you can still log calls manually even without a Twilio connection.
How do I integrate Twilio?
Admins can add Twilio credentials under Settings > Calling > API Setup.
What is Pass-Through Calling?
Calls are routed through an external device such as your mobile phone.
What is Local Dialing?
Local Dialing uses a number with the same or similar area code as the contact.
What are Call Dispositions?
Call Dispositions let you record the outcome of a call, helping you track what happened and what the next steps should be.
What are Call Sentiments?
Call Sentiments capture the overall tone or mood of a call.
What is a Voicemail Drop?
A pre-recorded voicemail that can be left with automatically
Can I send SMS messages through Connect?
Not yet. SMS sending is not currently available in the platform, but is on the roadmap.
Activity Tracking & User Interface
What is the Activity Page?
A dashboard that logs all engagement activity within Connect.
What metrics can I track?
Email, call, reply, and engagement metrics.
Can I manually log activity?
Yes. You can use the Log Activity feature on the Activity Page to manually log emails or calls.
What does the orange dot mean?
It indicates new or unread inbound activity.
CRM, Data & Enrichment
Does Connect integrate with CRMs?
Yes. Seamless.AI integrates with major CRMs like Salesforce and HubSpot.
Does Connect sync activity data to CRM?
Automatic activity syncing is planned for 2026, but not currently available.
How does Seamless.AI handle duplicate contacts?
Matching logic checks email, name, and company to avoid duplicates.
What is Data Decay Protection?
Continuous data refresh to maintain accuracy.
What is Total AI Score?
A confidence score indicating data quality & accuracy.
What is Intent Data?
Signals showing buying research behavior.
How often is Intent Data refreshed?
Intent data is refreshed weekly.
Administration, Support & Compliance
How do I contact support?
You can reach our Support team by clicking the Get Help icon (the question mark) in the top-right corner of the platform. From there, you’ll have access to the Support section where you can contact support directly.
Does Seamless.AI offer onboarding help?
Yes. Free onboarding and enablement support are included. There are on demand Connect specific courses available in the Academy, as well as Knowledge Base articles. As well as Connect webinars.
How does connect handle opt outs?
Unsubscribes are handled automatically if the email footer is setup and enabled for use in emails. We strongly recommend setting up the footer and unsubscribe feature to properly process opt outs.
Can managers view team activity?
At this time no. But it is on the roadmap to share this data within organizations.
How do I set business hours for emailing?
Business hours can be defined in Email Settings.
