We’re just a few weeks away from closing out 2025. Seriously, where did the time go?

It feels like we were just making New Year's resolutions yesterday and breaking them in record time (you know that no-caffeine resolution was a reach. Better luck next time).

Before we set our eyes on 2026, let’s take a look back at 2025: What was the most searched industry on Seamless.AI? What were the top AI feature releases?

And on the pop culture front, what was the most talked-about moment of the year? What was the must-have status symbol everyone was raving about?

Let’s jump in and take a walk down memory lane on another HUGE year.

With over 70 million contact searches and 13 million company searches in 2025, it was a big year for sales teams everywhere.

The “God-Tier” AI Release of the Year

Seamless.AI API

Out of all the feature releases for Seamless.AI in 2025, we’re most excited about our API launch. The Seamless.AI API (Application Programming Interface) is a programmer’s dream! You can build out a custom sales tool that puts your lead gen on autopilot.

Create automated sales plays that keep your pipeline full without the manual grind. Search, enrich, and sync leads automatically in your CRM without ever visiting the Seamless.AI app. If you haven’t checked out our API, don’t wait any longer. This will give one rep the speed of 10!

The “Movie Event” of the Year

K-Pop Demo Hunters

With KPop-themed birthday parties and even Saturday Night Live cashing in on the film’s popularity, Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters was one of the most talked-about movies of the year. The movie captured 300+ million views in the first 91 days and boosted revenue for the global streaming company to 17% ($11.5 billion).

The “Glow-Up” of the Year

Seamless.AI Chrome Extension

If you’re familiar with our Chrome extension, you know it’s the feature that puts the “Seamless” in “Seamless.AI. Our free Chrome extension pulls leads, mobile phones, emails, and prospecting insights for any contact or company anywhere online.

In case you missed it, our Dev team made some exciting updates to the extension, including deeper insights into contacts and companies right in the side panel and a redesign of the contact and company profiles for faster searches and list building. These updates together create a cleaner, smarter, and more intuitive prospecting experience.

The “Cringiest Phrase” of the Year

All Ears

No one knows what it means… But if you’re on social media or have kids, you didn’t get through the year without hearing “6-7.”

Apparently, 6-7 comes from a lyric in a Skrilla song, “Doot Doot (6 7).” But like any cultural juggernaut, whatever the original context was, that meaning has been completely lost in the sauce. And now, kids go feral when they hear these two numbers.

Our first goal for 2026 is to write a petition to remove the numbers 6 and 7 from the English language. We’ll let you know what we come up with as replacements.

Dad joke: "What is 6 afraid of 7. Because 7, 8, 9."

2025 Year-End Sales Stats

  • The US Labor Statistics org states there are 1.3 million openings for salespeople, with an average salary of $37,460, in 2025 for the US market. They project the number of sales roles to decline over the next decade.
